who am i?

how did i come into existence?

who has created me, who has created this perfect body of mine?

who has created this great order which surrounds me?

what does He, who created everything, want from me?

what does He want to show me?


and these are the Quranic answers:

Has man ever known a point of time when he was not something remembered? Verily We created Man from a drop of mingled sperm, in order to try him: So We gave him (the gifts), of Hearing and Sight.
[QS al-Insan 1-2]

Does man think that he will be left uncontrolled, (without purpose)? Was he not a drop of sperm emitted (in lowly form)? Then did he become a leech-like clot; which He created and shaped, making from it both sexes, male and female?
[QS al-Qiyamah 36-39]

O man! What has deluded you in respect of your Noble Lord? He Who created you and formed you and proportioned you and assembled you in whatever way He willed.
[QS al-Infitar 6-8]

the human is a being created by Allah and as a created entity, he cannot change this fact. he cannot bring any other explanation to his own existence. since he has been created, he would not be left uncontrolled and irresponsible as emphasized in the above verses. there is, of course, a purpose for creation. where then will he find the answer?

there is only one answer to this question and that is in the book that Allah has sent down to him.

Dan apa saja yang diberikan kepada kamu, maka itu adalah kenikmatan hidup duniawi dan perhiasannya; sedang apa yang di sisi Allah adalah lebih baik dan lebih kekal. Maka apakah kamu tidak memahaminya? [QS al-Qashash 60]
